Concentrations

Concentrations are your way to define your degree. In Art and Design, you’ll graduate with a body of work that has been molded over your semesters of learning, no matter what concentration you choose.

Build your artistic skillset, dive into art history and get into the studio to create. Studio Art is focused on preparing you as an artist and craftsperson.

It is also an ideal program for students planning to do advanced or graduate study in art and art history.

This concentration requires you to take classes for an area of focus. Choose from art history, graphic design or an area of studio art.

What is Licensure?

A teaching licensure is Colorado’s way of certifying that you’re qualified to teach. It shows you’ve completed the required coursework, passed state exams and gained classroom experience.

Think of it like a driver’s license, but for teaching.

Our program in Art and Design: Licensure Visual Art (Grades K-12) program includes everything you need for K-12 licensure. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to apply for your Colorado Initial Teacher License and start your teaching career.
