What Can I do With My Degree?

We prepare students for careers across clinical, human performance, community, education, sport, health care, and fitness fields. Our graduates go on to work as physical therapists, athletic trainers, occupational therapists, physical education teachers, coaches, dietitians, strength and conditioning specialists, personal trainers, exercise physiologists, and sport sales and marketing professionals. With a strong foundation in the science and practice of human movement, they are equipped to make an impact in diverse professional settings.

New KiND-Campus Rec Co-Op Launch

The Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Dietetics (KiND) partnered with the Campus Recreation Center to launch UNC’s first Co-Op program. Human Performance and Exercise Science students gain paid, hands-on experience while earning academic and internship credit through roles in training, mentoring, and facility operations.
