Academic Advising
High quality advising is a top priority for our department. We assign advisers to all our majors and minors, and students are encouraged to come by and speak with us even if you have already received your PIN from an advisor in another department.
INTERESTED IN PURSUING GRADUATE WORK? HERE’S SOME DATA TO CONSIDER:
- GRE Scores: Philosophy majors rank first in both analytical and verbal reasoning; and 16th in quantitative reasoning (above all non-science/non-math majors)
- LSAT Scores: Philosophy majors are tied with Economics for first place
- GMAT Scores: Philosophy majors rank fifth (behind Physics, Math, Computer Science and Engineering, and ahead of all business school degrees)
