MAT Culturally and Linguistically Diverse

UNC has been preparing linguistically diverse educators for Colorado’s schools for nearly twenty years. These programs are designed to prepare you to meet the learning needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners throughout Colorado and the United States. Emergent bilingual students can achieve academic success when educators and schools provide effective language instruction that promotes and supports academic growth. In many schools across our state and nation, the population of English language learners continues to grow. This program will provide you with the knowledge and classroom skills needed to meet the diverse language and academic needs of these learners.

This is a continuous enrollment graduate program which means that candidates can begin the program in any semester.
