Assistantships
Competitive fellowship support includes Teaching Assistantships, Graduate Research Assistantships, and tuition waivers for new students.
To be considered for program support, complete the assistantship application form and email Dr. Randy Larkins (randy.larkins@unco.edu) to request financial aid at the time you apply for admission to an ASRM degree program. Information on other competitive assistantships outside ASRM can be found within individual UNC programs and the Graduate School.
Office of Financial Aid
The Office of Financial Aid administers loans, employment opportunities, scholarships, and veterans' assistance. Some are competitive, while others are need-based. All need-based financial aid (including the FAFSA application and Stafford loans) should be filed by March 1st for priority consideration.
UNC Universal Scholarship Application
All admitted ASRM students should fill out a UNC Universal Scholarship Application to be considered for scholarships and fellowships by March 1. Once the application is submitted students will be considered on an annual basis if they meet the minimum qualifications. The application is available through Ursa on the “Financial” tab. You must have a Bear number in order to apply.
ASRM Specific Scholarships
- Beatrice Heimerl Memorial Scholarship: Offered annually to students interested in studying applied statistics and research methods.
