What is Bear Central?
Bear Central, located on the second floor of the Campus Commons, is a hassle-free zone integrating the student services of the Office of Financial Aid, Bursar’s Office and Office of the Registrar in one central location.

Check In Remotely
You’ll get an estimated wait time and a heads-up when it’s almost your turn.
You’ll lose your spot in line if you don’t arrive for your reservation. However, if you know you’re running late for your reservation reply “M” to be pushed back in line to receive additional time.

Download the UNC Mobile App
It’s available for both iOS and Android devices. Once you’ve got it installed, find “Bear Central – BearQ” from the navigation.
Join the line virtually
We’ll tell you an estimated wait time for the services you need. Once confirmed, you’re free to go about your business!
Get updates via text
You’ll get a list of commands you can use to manage your reservations and a message 15 minutes before it’s your turn. Reply “M” to request additional time (maximum of two times).
Check in at Bear Central
Head up to Bear Central on the second floor of the Commons and let the attendant know you’ve arrived.
