April 15, 2021
Programs within the University of Northern Colorado’s Extended Campus were recently ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News & World Report in the publication's 2021 annual report.
Of note, among the more than 1,200 programs surveyed, UNC tied for:
- 83rd in Online Master’s in Education Programs (second in Colorado)
- 23rd in Online Master’s in Education Programs for Veterans
- 86th in Online Bachelor’s Programs (fifth in Colorado)
The criteria U.S. News considers when ranking college and university online programs covers four categories that look at the role of engagement within the online course environment, diverse online learning technologies, faculty credentials and training and expert opinion.
"UNC Extended Campus believes including these badges in our marketing communications provides a way to leverage the university’s resources, reputation and diversity of offerings to a global audience in a visual way," Arte Libunao, executive director of UNC's Extended Campus, said. "Potential students worldwide seek this recognition when choosing a university or program and often consider the U.S. News ranking essential as they research their options."
