About the Four Corners Community History Project
The Four Corners Community History Project was a five-year grant from the US Department of Education’s Teaching American History (TAH) program that serves four school districts located in the Four Corners/West Slope area – a truly unique part of south western Colorado.
The project provides history teachers with content-rich, hands-on teaching U.S. history professional development.
In partnership with the University of Northern Colorado and the Southern Ute Tribal Museum, each year we serve 20-25 of the area's history teachers (grades k-12), a coalition serving 31,000 students from four school districts.
