At the Colorado School of Public Health (ColoradoSPH), we leverage the power of three leading institutions—the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), the University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz Medical Campus, and Colorado State University (CSU)—to advance public health locally, nationally, and globally. Each of our three universities offer different graduate public health programs and cultures.
Join us at our UNC location and learn how to change the world, your way.
Degrees and Programs
At our UNC location, we offer a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health Education degree, with the option to add an emphasis in global health. We also offer two graduate certificate programs—a Certificate in Rural Health and Certificate in Public Health Sciences.

Evening Programs and Online Courses
Fit your public health degree around your busy work schedule.
We offer evening programs as well as online and hybrid courses. Most of our public health students work full-time or part-time while pursuing their degree, thanks to this flexibility.
Hands On, Applied Learning
Students in our ColoradoSPH at UNC programs learn to work collaboratively with diverse populations and identify community needs and strengths, all while promoting public health.
As a student, you won’t just learn in the classroom, you’ll have opportunities apply your knowledge and skills in the real-world through practicum and capstone experiences and practice-based courses. UNC has a Carnegie Foundation's Classification for Community Engagement—reflecting the many opportunities students have to apply classroom learning in the community.
Tight-knit, Local Community; Global Perspective
The UNC campus is large enough to offer lots of opportunities and is situated in a community small enough to make you feel right at home.
Students at our UNC location enjoy smaller class sizes that foster student-faculty relationships through mentoring, advising, and networking. As a traditional college campus with both undergraduate and graduate students, UNC offers a strong campus and local community culture. And if your passions extend beyond Colorado, we offer the option to add an emphasis in global health to our MPH in Community Health Education, so you can apply your public health skills in the global arena.
