Hands On, Applied Learning

Students in our ColoradoSPH at UNC programs learn to work collaboratively with diverse populations and identify community needs and strengths, all while promoting public health.

As a student, you won’t just learn in the classroom, you’ll have opportunities apply your knowledge and skills in the real-world through practicum and capstone experiences and practice-based courses. UNC has a Carnegie Foundation's Classification for Community Engagement—reflecting the many opportunities students have to apply classroom learning in the community.

Tight-knit, Local Community; Global Perspective

The UNC campus is large enough to offer lots of opportunities and is situated in a community small enough to make you feel right at home.

Students at our UNC location enjoy smaller class sizes that foster student-faculty relationships through mentoring, advising, and networking. As a traditional college campus with both undergraduate and graduate students, UNC offers a strong campus and local community culture. And if your passions extend beyond Colorado, we offer the option to add an emphasis in global health to our MPH in Community Health Education, so you can apply your public health skills in the global arena.
